DESCRIPTION:  \n\nA Celebration of Success 2020: RRA & ILA Annual Recognition Event\nPlease join both the RRA & ILA in recognizing high-quality independent livings and recovery residences and those who support them!\nThis year’s event will be held virtually on Zoom on Friday\, May 29th from 10:00 – 11:30am.\nWelcoming Remarks \nElana Soltz\, ILA Program Manager \nLana Lo\, RRA Program Manager \nKeynote Address \nPiedad Garcia\, Ed.D.\, LCSW \nThe RRA & ILA are honored to welcome Dr. Piedad Garcia as keynote speaker for this year’s recognition event. \nDr. Garcia is the Deputy Director for the County of San Diego Health and Human\nServices Agency (HHSA)\, Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Adult and Older Adult\n(AOA) System of Care. Dr. Garcia oversees the mental health and substance use system\nof care for adults and older adults across the county. For the past three decades\, she has\nimplemented biopsychosocial rehabilitation and recovery programs for individuals with\nserious mental illness and co-occurring disorders. \nIn her current capacity\, Dr. Garcia oversees BHS’s integration efforts and the\ndevelopment and implementation of system of care initiatives for adult and older adult\nservices\, including: BHS and primary care integration; Faith Based Initiatives; supportive\nhousing and supportive employment initiatives; transition age youth (TAY) and older\nadult initiatives for persons with serious mental illness and substance use issues; justice\nsystem and BHS integration; Drug Medi-Cal and Organized Delivery System\nimplementation and the integration of cultural competency standards in the BHS system \nAwards Ceremony \nClosing Remarks \nThe RRA & ILA invite their operators\, PRAT members\, supporting service providers and community partners to attend the event. \nRegister for the event on Zoom Here:
