Member Spotlight – GLM House Inc.

GLM House Inc. formerly known as Greater Love Ministries, was created August 2018. Their learning curve came by designing an ILA home that accommodated a project that included SAMHSA, and FHCSD; that now has allowed GLM to be identified as permanent supportive housing.

Without the guidance from ILA, Amelia believes GLM would’ve miss out on the collaboration with other housing provider change agents. ILA continues to offer quality support, and trainings to ensure their resource toolbox stay relevant. Having the certification of being an ILA member demonstrates quality,  and excellence. Having the ILA seal makes it easy for future tenants, stakeholders, and community partners to comfortably know that the housing providers represent a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

GLM House Inc. is a labor of love, equality, and inclusiveness. They believe housing should aspire purpose, so they make sure that they provide a safe, secure, and uplifting environment.

Amelia Broadnax, is the founder and director of GLM – a formerly homeless neighbor that experienced a fragmented 10 years of unstable housing, which eventually was caused and identified by mental health and substance use.

Today, Amelia works as an Operations Coordinator with Uptown Community Service Center. She has 10+ years of Homeless Services and Harm Reduction behavioral modification experience. GLM House Inc. reinstated with ILA in May, and they are grateful to be apart of the fast growing co-living environment.

Amelia, pictured on the left, is known for her comedian acts. She’s been identified as being firm, yet fair. Her favorite motto is, “at the end of the day”.
