To display unbiased information about independent livings in Fresno County.
An Independent Living is a privately-owned or operated home or multi-unit complex that provides shared housing for adults living with a severe mental illness or co-occurring substance use disorder. Tenants may be on a fixed income, coming out of chronic homelessness, or simply benefit from a shared living environment.
The Independent Living Association (ILA) is a collaborative community-wide effort focused on supporting independent living operators, tenants and the community by promoting high quality independent livings.
The ILA is a resource to turn to for objective, unbiased information about independent livings in Fresno County.
Education & Training
To provide education and training for independent living operators, tenants, and community members.
Peer Review & Acountability
To provide each member of the ILA with annual home visits to support them in their pursuit of providing quality housing.
ILA Complaint Process
To ensure fair and prompt review of complaints concerning any ILA member violating ILA Membership Requirements or Quality Standards.
